About Shipping

If you’re considering making a purchase from our shop, you may have questions about shipping — where do we ship to, where do we ship from, how long does it take, what does it cost? So we’re here today to explain a little bit about how it works.

Where do we ship?

We can ship pretty much anywhere in the world. In some cases, getting your product there may be slower and more expensive. If you know your location is sometimes a shipping challenge, please feel free to email faculty at abbysyarns dot com and ask for more info.

Where do we ship from?

Some things are in the USA, and some things are in Peru, and some of our products drop-ship from the location where they’re made. Our system will intelligently calculate multiple shipping options and tally them all for you even if your order will ship from multiple locations!

Calculating Shipping

Most of the time, you will probably be ordering items that ship from only one location, in which case, the options you will see depend on the shipping address. For example:

This product ships from the USA and is going to the USA.
This product ships from Peru.

But you may have orders that ship from multiple places! Good news: our system handles that intelligently too.

The Paucartambo Whisperlight ships from the USA, the Modern Poncho from Peru, and the t-shirt from our print on demand fulfiller.

We’re working on adding a “slow mode” shipping option for the USA from Peru, but presently, we can only offer express shipping via DHL outside of a few specific situations which we’ll tell you about in advance and for which we’ll provide you with shipping coupons.

How do we ship?

From Peru: we ship worldwide using DHL Express. We require an SMS-capable phone number for the courier so you will receive your tracking info via text.
From USA: We generally ship by USPS or UPS. Please let us know when placing your order if you require a specific service.

How long does it take?

This depends on where you are, where things ship from, and what method you choose. You’ll receive a tracking number for your shipment within 1 week (depending where it ships from via what method) and generally times are:

USA to USA : 2-7 business days
USA to Canada: 5-10 business days
USA to Europe and UK: 7-12 business days
USA to other regions: 10-15 business days
Peru to North America: 7-10 business days
Peru to Europe and UK: 7-12 business days
Peru to other regions: 7-15 business days
