The spinning fundamentals program I developed for Stringtopia Fiber Arts Studio is aimed at taking you from your first interest in making your own yarn by hand all the way up to being a comfortable intermediate spinner in only 4 months including your practice time.<\/p>\n<p>SPINNING I comes with two class sessions recorded in September 2021, and many recorded office hours, as well as access to 4 recorded weekly sessions and several recorded office hours sessions from last time the course was run, giving you time to practice in between opportunities to ask any questions you may have. You can also immediately join the Discord chat channel for class, read the archive of all prior discussion, and interact live with fellow students, graduate community, and of course, me.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll also have access to a Discord chat channel where you can discuss with your fellow students, and where I\u2019ll check in daily to answer questions throughout the session.<\/p>\n<p>To begin the hands-on exercises, you will need a stick or a pencil, and some spinnable fiber, ideally wool, although you can work with any fiber you are able to find. You can also attend this class without doing it hands-on at the outset, and save your access to the class sessions to do at your leisure.<\/p>\n<p>As soon as your registration is processed your confirmation email will contain a link follow to gain access to the private channels on our discord where you&#8217;ll find links to the class videos pinned, and lots of interesting discussion.
