Over the past year, but especially the past few months, my team and I \u2014 just like pretty much everyone in an independent niche field \u2014 has struggled with how best to keep reaching the friends, colleagues, and clients we\u2019ve worked with for decades. Staying in touch keeps getting trickier in the modern era, with social media platforms collapsing and new ones rising and algorithm-generated feeds leaving everyone frustrated not to see what they\u2019ve signed up to see.<\/p>\n
They say everything old is new again, right? So here we are with old-school newsletters you can count on receiving, sort of as if it were 30 years ago, except now with more fancy formatting.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re launching with two key newsletters:<\/p>\n
Abby\u2019s Yarns News<\/strong>, which is a general email that will go out 1-2 times per month with a very occasional additional email if there\u2019s breaking news. We\u2019ll tell you what we\u2019re working on, what products are coming and going, if there are specials or deals, and we\u2019ll give you discount codes for the online store and partners.<\/p>\n Abby\u2019s Yarns Peru Experiences<\/strong>, 1-2 times monthly to let you know what we\u2019ve got going on here in Peru and how you can join us, in person as well as virtually! From time to time we\u2019ll also invite you to live Q&A and info sessions we\u2019ll host via videoconference.<\/p>\n We have high hopes for our new newsletter system, which allows YOU to choose what you get, and us to feel confident that, well, you\u2019re actually getting it \u2014 something we just can\u2019t be sure of anymore with social media and blog and video posts. As we grow, we plan to launch additional focused newsletters we also hope you\u2019ll love.<\/p>\n
